The Myeloma Coach program (MCP) is committed to respecting your privacy. Any personally identifiable information (any information by which you can be identified), you provide will only be used to support your relationship with the Myeloma Coach program.

What We Collect

Personal Information

This website collects personally identifiable information to allow you to create a coach or a patient profile. The personal information collected on these pages is your name and contact information. In some cases, you may submit additional information as needed to complete your registration. All of this information is needed to help you match successfully with a patient/coach.

If you choose to make a financial contribution to the Myeloma Coach Program through its fundraising partner, the Myeloma Crowd Foundation, information related to your contribution – whether made online or offline – will be governed by this Online Privacy Statement. The transaction will be handled by Classy, an Internet software and services company that provides online constituent relationship management solutions for nonprofit organizations.

All Classy transactions are conducted through a secure socket layer (SSL) with Level 1 PCl compliance. The Myeloma Coach program does not store sensitive information such as credit card numbers. If you provide credit card information to make a financial contribution, that information is used solely for the purpose of completing that specific transaction and is not retained by the MCP or Classy.

We may also ask you to voluntarily provide us with information regarding your experience with cancer, personal or professional interests, demographics and contact preferences to tailor our subsequent communications with you and continuously improve our Website and services.

How We Use It

When you choose to submit personally identifiable information (PII) to the MCP, we use your information only for the purposes for which you submitted the information.

Who We Share It With

The MCP will not sell, rent or lease your personally identifiable information to others.

Unless we have your permission or are required by law, any personal data you provide us online will be shared only with other Myeloma Crowd entities and/or business partners who are acting on our behalf to complete the activities described above. Such Myeloma Crowd entities and/or business partners, are required by agreement to protect the privacy of your personally identifiable information as set out in this Privacy Statement.


Coaches are obligated to hold any information provided to them by patients in full confidence. They are not to share any personal contact or other information shared with them by patients unless they are given written consent from that patient. Patient contact information should only be used for the purpose of coaching. Any breech in confidentiality or misuse of information will result in immediate dismissal from participating in the coaching program.


The MCP will not use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without letting you know beforehand and offering you the opportunity to withhold your consent for the MCP to use your information in this way.


The MCP is committed to ensuring the security of your information. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy and ensure the appropriate use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. This includes the use of Secure Socket Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts the information you submit to keep it secure during transmission.

Such links do not constitute an endorsement by the MCP of those External Web Sites. Security: No Liability for Acts of Third Parties

We may employ procedural and technological security measures that are reasonably designed to help protect your personally identifiable information from loss, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. The Myeloma Coach Program may use password protection and other security measures to help prevent unauthorized access to your personally identifiable information.

Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, WE CANNOT ENSURE OR WARRANT THE SECURITY OF ANY INFORMATION YOU TRANSMIT TO US, AND YOU DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Although we will use reasonable efforts to safeguard the confidentiality of your personally identifiable information (including credit card information, if applicable), transmissions made by means of the Internet cannot be made absolutely secure.
